Una obra hidráulica irrigará 670 hectáreas de cultivos de verano en Salitre

En una primera fase, el proyecto de la Prefectura Ciudadana del Guayas contempla un canal de 780 metros que llevará agua del río Vinces a zonas agrícolas

Con esperanza y optimismo, agricultores de seis cooperativas del recinto Tintal de Afuera, en la parroquia Junquillal, ven el avance de los trabajos de construcción de la infraestructura hidráulica para riego que beneficia a la Junta de Riego y Drenaje 15 de Junio.

En este sector arrocero del cantón Salitre, la Prefectura Ciudadana del Guayas, liderada por la prefecta Abg. Marcela Aguiñaga Vallejo, lleva adelante este proyecto, cuyo objetivo principal es dotar de agua para riego en época de verano.

Mediante bombas se extraerá agua del río Vinces para transportarla a los sembríos, a través de un ducto cajón de hormigón de 180 metros y de un canal abierto de 600 metros de extensión.

“La proyección total del canal es de dos kilómetros para toda la junta de riego. Se espera que la obra ayude a los agricultores en los meses que más lo necesitan. En invierno no tienen ningún tipo de conflicto, pero en verano hay escases de agua y esta obra les ayudará a una doble producción”, explicó Bryan Castro, residente de fiscalización.

Moradores del recinto Tintal de Abajo, como Luis Quiroz, se muestran agradecidos por los trabajos de la Prefectura Ciudadana del Guayas. “Está muy bien la obra. Nos va a ayudar bastante para todos nosotros, porque tenemos que hacer pozos para trabajar. A veces los pozos no resultan, tienen poca agua y cuesta la sacada de agua para regar los sembríos”.

Como Quiroz, otros agricultores de la zona siembran arroz, maíz y soya. El agua para riego de la obra les permitirá tener dos y hasta tres cosechas en el año.

Esta obra de infraestructura hidráulica para riego beneficiará la producción de 670 hectáreas de arroz de cooperativas agrícolas como la 25 de Junio, Junta, 16 de Junio, Corredor, La Caridad, La Estrella y otras más.
